What is Assisted Living Waiver (ALW)?

  • Assisted Living Waiver (ALW) is a California Medi-Cal program that helps seniors and adults with disabilities access assisted living services instead of residing in a nursing home.
  • It aims to provide a comfortable, community-based setting where residents can receive personalized care and maintain greater independence.

Basic Eligibility

  • Must be eligible for Medi-Cal (California’s Medicaid program).

Regent Villa's Director Seth Explains ALW Enrollment

Unsure if you qualify for ALW Program?

If you’re not eligible for the Assisted Living Waiver (ALW), don’t worry—there may be other financial resources that can help cover assisted living costs.

Our knowledgeable staff can guide you through the options and determine if you qualify for any additional medical programs.

Why Choose Regent Villa as Your ALW Program Facility?

Medical Attention

Regent Villa has full access to the local medical community to meet your loved one’s medical needs. Which means we are able to access and coordinate any type of medical care, as we work closely with a dedicated team of doctors.

Personalized Level of Care

Not all elderly individuals require the same level of care. We keep that in mind as we customize the level of care needed for every resident, from completely independent to assisted care for residents with medical needs.

Affordable

Regent Villa is a great alternative to apartment living in Long Beach. With no long term leases and assistance with enrolling in the Assisted Living Waiver (ALW) program, we help our residents get the care they need at a price they can afford.

Meet Our Staff
